Dunlap Church of Christ in Dunlap, Tennessee partnered with Presence Pro Audio for a complete sanctuary audio upgrade designed to improve both in-room sound and their livestream.
The goal was simple: provide clear, natural speech and consistent audio coverage in every seat while giving the church a higher-quality audio feed for those worshiping online. The new system combines carefully placed loudspeakers, digital mixing, wireless microphones, and dedicated microphones for capturing congregational singing.
The sanctuary audio system features two white Electro-Voice LRC-2100 column loudspeakers as the mains, supported by four Electro-Voice EVU-1062 loudspeakers to provide consistent coverage throughout the room. A Dynacord IX30:4 networked DSP amplifier provides amplification and system processing.
An Allen & Heath Qu-5 digital mixer serves as the heart of the audio system and integrates with the church’s Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro for livestream audio.
For speech and vocals, the system includes a DPA 4098 CORE gooseneck microphone at the pulpit, a DPA 4018 microphone for the song leader, and a Shure SLX-D+ dual wireless system with a Shure MX153 earset and DPA 4080 lavalier microphone. Two DPA 2017 shotgun microphones mounted on the sanctuary pillars capture the congregation’s singing and bring the sound of the room into the livestream.
The completed system gives Dunlap Church of Christ clear, natural speech and more consistent sound throughout the sanctuary, helping every seat hear the message clearly.
The livestream also benefits from a more intentional audio setup. With the Qu-5 integrated into the video system and dedicated microphones capturing congregational singing, online viewers can hear both the platform and the congregation for a more natural representation of worship in the room.
